Winner educational award 2016-2017

On the 31st of March, we announced the 2016/2017 Advanced Technology Teacher of the Year. We glad to announce that James Seddon is this year’s Teacher of the Year! James Seddon began as module coordinator of the fourth module of Advanced Technology, Dynamics, in 2016. His take on the module was immediately greeted with much positive feedback and rose to be the best module of the Advanced Technology program based on student feedback. This can be contributed to James’ clear communication both during lectures and on blackboard in his native English, his open-mindedness regarding the structure his lectures and module, and his constant strive to improve and receive feedback from his students.

Nanotechnology part of S.V.A.T. Astatine

A significant portion of the bachelor Advanced Technology graduates continue their studies by doing the master in nanotechnology. Apart from this, just like in Astatine, the master nanotechnology is very internationally oriented. Therefore, during the general assembly on 14 February 2017 it has been decided that Astatine now officially represents both the bachelor students Advanced Technology and the master students from Nanotechnology!
